Girl discovers a half-smoked cigarette in her Burger King meal

A teenage girl described herself as “traumatised” after discovering a partially smoked cigarette in her Burger King meal.

The girl’s mother, Jenn Holifield, told LadBible that they went to Burger King in Meridian, Mississippi, to treat themselves.

They each ordered a bag containing nine chicken fries and jalapeno poppers.

As their supper arrived, they began munching on tasty treats throughout the four-minute drive home.

But after eating six fries, they found a menthol cigarette that had already been smoked in the bag.

The Mirror reported Jenn as stating, “She wanted some chicken fries and jalapeno poppers. That’s all she ever gets, it’s her main thing when we go there. She got her chicken fries, and on the way home, she starts talking to me about how she smells a cigarette. She’s a little dramatic sometimes, so I said ‘there ain’t no cigarette, whatever.“

The mother stated, “When she begins to eat, I begin to eat.” She insists that she smells cigarette smoke.

Approximately six chicken fries into her meal, she exclaimed, “Oh my God, there is a cigarette in my chicken fries.” I replied, “What, no way’. We were pulling up at home so I got out and had a look. I said ‘oh my God, that’s a half-smoked cigarette,” I said.

“Calling the whole thing disgusting,” she said that her daughter was traumatised after the incident.

The mother and daughter have sworn off the fast-food restaurant. Jenn said she called the store and was offered a complete refund if she returned, but she didn’t feel comfortable accusing staff of dropping the cigarette.

She feels the cigarette was put in the bag or dropped out of a worker’s ear.

A Burger King representative replied to the allegations by stating, “This incident does not reflect the very high standards Burger King and its franchisees collectively share to provide guests with a tasty, well-prepared meal at a fair price.”
