Ola E-scooter catches fire in Pune after the video goes viral it raised concerns about the vehicle’s safety regulations among social media users.
Ola Electric has initiated an investigation into the fire that broke out on one of its electric scooters in Pune and has stated that it will take appropriate action.
After a video of the company’s electric scooter burning with huge flames and smoke on a roadside pavement went viral, the fire incident has gotten a lot of attention on social media.
This is the company’s first safety-related incident since it began delivering electric scooters. It had previously encountered difficulty with delivery schedules.

Ola co-founder and CEO Bhavish Aggarwal said in a tweet reacting to the incident, “Safety is top priority. We’re investigating this and will fix it.”
On Twitter, in a detailed statement, the Bengaluru-based company said, “We are aware of an incident in Pune that happened with one of our scooters in Pune and are investigating to understand the root cause and will share updates in the next few days.”
The company also stated that it is in continual contact with the customer, “who is absolutely safe”. Asserting that vehicle safety is of paramount importance for it, Ola Electric said, “We take this one incident seriously and will take appropriate action and share more in coming days.”
