Rainfall with thunderstorm has hit several areas of Karachi On Friday under the new spell of monsoon system.
Areas including Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Bin Qasim, Malir, Shah Latif Town, Korangi, F.B. Area, and Dhabeji are receiving heavy rainfall.
In addition to this, rainfall has also hit parts of the Tharparkar district.
On the other hand, two people, including a minor girl, have died due to two separate incidents of lightning strikes in Tharparkar.
Several areas including Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Liaqatabad, and Nazimabad face loadshedding amid rainfall.
Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast widespread rains from today (Friday) till Monday in Karachi and other parts of Sindh.
According to PMD, fifth monsoon system will produce widespread rains in the country during the next three days. Karachi is expected to receive more than 100mm rain from today.
Heavy falls are expected in Lasbella, Khuzdar, Barkhan, Moosa Khel and other areas, said the weather forecast.
The fifth spell of monsoon in Karachi and other parts of southern parts of Sindh, predicted by the weather office from August 14 to 16, was weakened and brought light rainfall and drizzle in the city.
