The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts partly cloudy weather with possible rainfall in Lahore and parts of Punjab this week. A westerly wave is affecting the upper parts of Pakistan, expected to reach the southern and western regions tonight.
In response, Murree, Galyat, and surrounding areas may experience rain, thunderstorms, and snow on Thursday night, Friday, and Saturday. Isolated places in Attock, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Lahore, and Narowal might also see rain and thunderstorms.
The rest of the province is expected to have cold and dry weather. Fog is likely during the night in several areas, including Lahore.
Lahore’s minimum temperature is expected to be between 08-10 degrees Celsius on Friday and Saturday.
Recent rainfall was reported in Islamabad, Pothohar region, and northeast/central Punjab. Notable amounts include Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Murree, Mandi Bahauddin, Lahore, Sialkot, Narowal, and Jhelum. Murree had 09 inches of snowfall.
Murree recorded the coldest temperature in the province, dropping 02 degrees Celsius below freezing, with 82 percent relative humidity in the morning. In Lahore, the minimum temperature recorded was 09 degrees Celsius, with a morning relative humidity of 93 percent.
