Street vendor Pratap Singh is shown delivering cotton candies, also known as Budhiya Ke Baal, to children who bring him human hair in a video released by YouTube food blogger Foody Vishal.

Food videos have taken over the internet and social media. One video of novel food business, in which a street vendor sells cotton candy in exchange for human hair, has gone viral.

Children line up in front of the man’s tiny shop on his bicycle, grabbing a fistful of hair. He gets the hair and turns it in for pink cotton candy! A small youngster was overheard claiming to have taken hair from his mother’s head.

It’s worth noting that the amount of candy supplied to participants is proportional to the amount of hair donated. The hair is sold to wig makers for Rs 3,000 per kilogramme by the seller. For the past five years, the seller has conducted business using this barter agreement.
