The United States Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has limited his trip to Asia this week, said department spokeswoman after President US Donald Trump hospitalized for getting a COVID-19 test positive.
According to the details, The US Secretary of State was due to visit Japan, South Korea, and Mongolia this week, however, he will only be visiting Japan; skipping the other two visits.
Spokeswoman Morgan Ortagus said in a statement, the US top official will be in Tokyo from Sunday to Tuesday, where he is scheduled to meet with foreign ministers of Australia, India, and Japan.
The statement by the Spokeswoman reads, “Secretary Pompeo expects to be traveling to Asia again in October and will work to reschedule visits on that trip, that is now just a few weeks off,” she said.
Next 48 Hours Critical for Trump
According to the various reports, the next 48 hours are critical for the President of the United States.
The main doctor said in a health update that the medical team treating the president is “cautiously optimistic,” but also notes that the president is “not yet out of the woods.”
The latest assessment came Saturday night from Navy Commander Dr. Sean Conley.
He reported that Trump had been up and around at his medical suite during the day and had been conducting presidential responsibilities.
