Motorcyclist killed in Karachi road accident

Karachi: In Saudabad, Malir, a motorcyclist was killed after being hit by a truck.

According to rescue officials, the deceased has been identified as 60-year-old Baqir. The motorcycle was completely destroyed in the accident.

Police officials stated that the driver tried to escape from the scene; however, local residents stopped him. The residents then detained the truck driver and handed him over to the police after assaulting him. Following the incident, angry protesters set fire to the truck.

Authorities mentioned that the truck was loaded with cement bags. The police have taken the truck into custody.
