New Zealand, England secrity experts arrive at Lahore

Security experts have arrived at Lahore to assess the situation and necessary arrangements ahead of New Zealand and England tours.

Australian-based security expert Reg Dickson has been appointed by New Zealand Cricket (NZC), while England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) appointed David Sr. for the assessment. Both the experts have arrived at Lahore.

The experts will likely begin their work tomorrow. They will be visiting the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. They will also be visiting Rawalpindi will they will be briefed by the Punjab and federal security officials.

According to reports, Dickson will return on August 27, while David Sr. will stay in Pakistan until the tour of the England women’s team.

New Zealand Cricket sent Dickpson before also to assess the security situations. But due to rising concerns of the NZ players, the board sent him once again to Pakistan ahead of the tour.

Black Caps are scheduled to arrive for the tour in September in Islamabad. The visitors will go against Pakistan in three ODIs and five T20Is. However, some key players will not be coming as they will take part in the second leg of the IPL 2021.

England national team is expected to arrive in Pakistan in October for a full-strength tour.
