Pakistan former pacer Mohammad Amir feels that the newly introduced T10 format could be a nightmare for some bowlers. However, it also helps the bowler to handle pressure and improve his skills.

Amir is currently playing for Bangla Tigers in the Abu Dhabi T10 League. The T10 format, according to the fast bowler, is a difficult format for bowlers since the margin of error is small, and it keeps the bowler on his toes because he is constantly thinking of how to bowl a dot ball.

He also talked about his battle with the Covid-19 during the ongoing season and said that now he has recovered and has joined the team.

“I practised for two days. When I run for long or if I speak for too long, I start coughing. It is difficult because you feel fatigued. But as a professional, you need to have the mindset to get yourself out of that zone or it will keep troubling you. You know your responsibilities to your body. I am improving day by day,” Amir said.

Former Pakistani bowler also expressed his desire to be a part of the last 4 to 5 games. He added that there is no pressure from the team.

“I wish to play the last 4-5 games. The team is performing well at this point and we have found our winning combination. It helps me as I can take an extra day or two if needed to recover. There is no pressure from management and they have told me I can play whenever I start to feel better,” Amir added.
