Two soldiers were martyred after a “group of externally sponsored terrorists” fired at a security forces check post in the Tump area of Balochistan, said the military’s media wing in a statement.

“A group of externally sponsored terrorists fired onto a check post of security forces established in general area Tump, Balochistan, to prevent the movement of these terrorists into built-up areas,” said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The military’s media wing said that the security forces responded with all the available weapons that resulted in heavy losses for the terrorists.

“During the engagement, however, two soldiers Sepoy Naseebullah, resident of Kharan, and Sepoy Insha Allah, resident of Lakki Marwat sacrificed their lives fighting valiantly,” said the ISPR.

The ISPR reminded that Pakistan’s security forces were determined to defeat such acts of cowardly terrorists that are hoping to disrupt “peace, stability and progress of Balochistan”.

This is the second time during this week that terrorists have attacked security forces in Balochistan.

On Monday, a soldier was martyred after a patrolling party of security forces was attacked in the Panjgur area of Balochistan.

“A group of terrorists, in a cowardly attack, targeted a patrolling party of security forces in Panjgur area, along the Pakistan-Iran border,” said the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The military’s media wing said that during the heavy exchange of fire Sepoy Jalil Khan, a resident of Dera Ismail Khan, war martyred.
