National Database and Registration Authority has issued an advisory for overseas Pakistanis, making it clear that the authority has not authorised any consultants, agents, or dealers to process identity documents or submit online applications on its behalf.
NADRA advised Pakistanis living abroad to use only official platforms to avoid fraud, financial loss, and misuse of personal information.
In a statement shared on social media, the authority clarified that no private person, company, or third-party service provider anywhere in the world is allowed to accept applications, collect payments, or process Pakistani identity documents on behalf of NADRA.
The warning mainly targets overseas Pakistanis who often use middlemen for identity card and documentation services while living abroad.
NADRA reminded citizens that all online services are available directly through official platforms, including the Pak Identity portal and mobile application, where users can apply for CNIC, NICOP, and other identity documents from home.
The latest warning comes after several fake websites and social media pages attempted to present themselves as NADRA or its partners to target overseas Pakistanis. In recent months, the authority identified fraudulent UK-based websites falsely using names such as “NADRA Card Center” and offering identity card services and fake job opportunities linked to NADRA despite having no official connection with the authority.
According to NADRA officials, such fake platforms can misuse personal documents, online payments, and sensitive information, exposing applicants to identity theft, financial fraud, and cybercrime. Some cases have already been reported to cybercrime authorities for investigation.
NADRA has once again advised overseas Pakistanis to submit applications only through its official website, Pak Identity portal, mobile application, or NADRA counters available at Pakistani embassies and consulates abroad. The authority also urged citizens to verify all NADRA-related information through official websites and helplines instead of trusting unverified social media posts or advertisements.
Officials added that customer support is available through NADRA call centres and official email channels where applicants can get guidance regarding documents, application status, and complaints without paying any middleman.
