Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has decided to form an apex committee above the core committee, as Bol News reported.
According to the sources, the apex committee will be the policy-making body that will be responsible for all party affairs, and the 10-member apex committee will decide all party affairs.
PTI sources said that it was decided to form the apex committee in light of the instructions of the PTI founder. This committee will finalise the decisions of the core committee.
Sources say that the decisions of the Apex Committee will be final with the approval of the founding PTI.
According to party sources, the apex committee will include Ali Amin Gandapur, Asad Qaiser, Sher Afazl Marwat, Barrister Gohar, Khalid Khurshid, Aoun Abbas, Hamad Azahar, Shibli Faraz, Hafiz Farhat, and Umar Ayoub.
Earlier, the PTI has announced the cancellation of its highly anticipated public gathering, originally slated to take place at Islamabad’s Parade Ground on April 6.
In a statement posted on X, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan revealed on Wednesday that this decision was made in consideration of Laylat-ul-Qadr, the blessed night Muslims seek during the odd-numbered nights of the last ten days of Ramadan.
Additionally, Khan urged supporters to pray for the release and safety of all party workers and leaders, including PTI founder Imran Khan and his spouse Bushra Bibi.
