The first episode of Season 8 of “Koffee With Karan,” which aired on October 26, featured the beloved couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone sitting together on the show’s couch. This was their first time appearing as a married couple on a TV show. They got married in 2018 in Italy. During the show, they impressed everyone with their strong bond and love for each other, and they set a great example for other couples. In Karan Johar’s words, they won our hearts all over again, they were “being unapologetically authentic”.

On the first episode of Koffee With Karan 8, Karan Johar asked Ranveer Singh who he would cast as the third character in a love triangle featuring himself and Deepika Padukone. Ranveer replied that he would choose Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika’s ex-boyfriend. He also reminded Karan that he had previously wanted to cast them in a remake of the classic film Sangam.

Karan Johar asked Ranveer Singh: “In a love triangle featuring you and Deepika, which male actor would you not mind being cast to be the third character?”

Ranveer Singh replied, “Ranbir [Kapoor]. He then said, “You [Karan Johar] wanted to make Sangam with the three of us, right?” To this, KJo replied, “Yes.” Ranveer, in full Rocky Randhawa style, added, “You are always boasting but make nothing concrete,” Karan Johar said he can still make Sangam. “Sign it?” he asked and Deepika said “done.” “I am dying to (make it),” Karan Johar added, In 1964, a movie called Sangam was directed by Ranbir Kapoor’s grandfather, Raj Kapoor, who was a famous actor. The movie starred Raj Kapoor, Vyjayanthimala, and Rajendra Kumar.

During a quick question round, Ranbir Kapoor’s name came up multiple times. When Karan Johar asked Ranveer Singh which current male actor he’d like to perform the Dola Re Dola song from the movie “Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,” Ranveer Singh chose Ranbir Kapoor for the role.

Deepika Padukone mentioned Ranbir Kapoor when Karan Johar asked her to name the actor she has the best chemistry with during a rapid-fire round “on-screen chemistry”. She said, “The truth is, I think, I have good chemistry with a lot of people. It goes without saying that Ranveer and I have amazing chemistry, which is why we are even on this couch. But Shah Rukh [Khan], Ranbir. I had amazing chemistry with Irrfan [Khan]. I think I have amazing chemistry with Hrithik [Roshan], which everyone’s going to see in Fighter.”
