Rawalkot Hawks will lock horns with Muzaffarabad Tigers in the final of the inaugural edition of the Kashmir Premier League (KPL) in Muzaffarabad on Tuesday.
Shahid Afridi’s side secured their place in the last-two after an incredible victory against Mirpur Royals in the second eliminator on Monday.
The Hawks went on to chase down the tournament’s highest total of 236 in just 19.4 overs, courtesy a sublime century from Kashif Ali.
Earlier, veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez-led Tigers booked their place in the final after clinching a 7-run win over the Hawks in a nail-biting qualifier on Saturday.
Both the Hawks and the Tigers won three out of five games in the initial stage of the tournament.
However, Afridi’s men finished on the top of the table with seven points after their match against Kotli Lions was washed out.
Both teams have already competed twice in the competition where at the round-robin stage, the Hawks secured a one-run win in a nail-biting contest.
However, when both teams faced off in the qualifier, it was Hafeez’s men who emerged victorious with a seven-run margin.
