Babar backs ‘fighter’ Hasan after dropped catch in Australia defeat
DUBAI: Pakistan skipper Babar Azam on Thursday described Hasan Ali as "a fighter" who...
Australia’s Matthew Wade and Marcus Stoinis remained unbeaten with a six-hitting partnership and dashed the hopes of Pakistan to enter the final of the ICC T20 World Cup on Thursday night in Dubai.
The left-handed Wade smoked three straight sixes off Pakistan pace ace Shaheen Shah Afridi to bring up triumph in the 19th over after being dropped by Ali earlier.
Pakistan had their chance to win but fast pacer Hasan Ali dropped Wade’s catch when he was on 21. After which he smashed three back to back sixes off Shaheen in the 19th over to set up a title clash with New Zealand in the final, set to be played on November 14.
Despite the fact, men in Green faced loss in the semi-final, cricket fans including Prime Minister Imran Khan and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja lauded the team for their overall performance in the tournament.

Credit to Australia, they held their nerves, proved themselves to be mentally stronger than the side that had everything in its favor. This Pakistan's first defeat after 16 consecutive wins in UAE.
