England and Wales Cricket Board  (ECB) has confirmed the tour to Pakistan, stating that the national side will visit the country for the first time in nearly 17 years in the second week of September.

A special committee has been formed by the PCB and the ECB to finalise planning for England’s upcoming tour of Pakistan and to examine a number of matters, including the tour schedule and security arrangements.

The seven-match T20I series will be played between September 15 and October 2 in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Multan, although because to security concerns, the tourists would prefer to play at Pindi Stadium.

Ramiz Raja, Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board, met with Christian Turner, British High Commissioner, earlier this month to finalise the logistics of England’s upcoming visit to Pakistan, during which the top diplomat lauded Pakistan’s efforts.

In preparation for the England series, the cricket board began upgrading stadiums last week, including installing new chairs in the enclosures of Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, National Stadium in Karachi, and Gaddafi Stadium.
