Saeed Ajmal, a former Pakistani spinner, said that pacer Hasan Ali should have played in the first Test against New Zealand, which started on Tuesday at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi.

At the end of the second day of the first Test against Pakistan, New Zealand was 165-0.

After Pakistan scored 438 runs in their first round, the visitors are still 273 runs behind.

At the end of play, Tom Latham had 78 runs and Devon Conway had 82. Neither of them had been out.

On the second day, it was hard for the Pakistan bowlers to put pressure on the New Zealand batters because the pitch was so easy to hit.

Pakistan had trouble with the ball, so Ajmal thought that Ali should have been in the starting lineup for the first Test.

“Pakistan’s batting is good these days instead of bowling. New Zealand batted brilliantly against Pakistan’s new bowling attack as they are 165 for no loss. Just like England, New Zealand exposed Pakistan’s bowling attack.”

“All bowlers couldn’t take a wicket. As I said before, Hasan Ali should’ve played the first Test as he has experience in 17-18 Tests. I don’t know but it’s the decision of the new management and selection committee,” Ajmal said on his official YouTube channel.

Ajmal also said that he doesn’t think it will be easy for the New Zealand batters to get out.

Pakistan’s first innings ended when they were out for 438.

The hosts’ Babar Azam scored 161 and Agha Salman scored 103.

Salman was the last Pakistani player to be out, but not before he hit his first century in the longest version of the game. On the second day of the match, when captain Azam was out in the first over without adding to his score from the night before, he stole the show.

Salman’s 103 was made up of 155 balls and 17 fours. He and Nauman Ali scored 54 important runs together after the seventh wicket fell. Nauman Ali played a tough innings of seven runs in 75 balls.

The Kiwis were close to getting Pakistan out for less than 400 runs, but Salman and the last two batsmen added 63 runs to keep them from doing so.
