Sajjad Delafrooz, an actor in “Tiger Zinda Hai,” talked openly about his love of football and the factors that led him to prioritise his education over his hobby. Additionally, he discussed how practising football and other outdoor games kept him active and healthy.

Says Sajjad “I learned about football as a child of the 1990s through Diego Armando Maradona, who was considered one of the best players, and that is how I first began to love Argentina.

I was crying when I saw Maradona crying after Argentina lost the 1990 FIFA World Cup final to Germany; I was only 7 years old at the time. I’ve rooted for Argentina ever since I first started watching football. Because Argentina won the FIFA World Cup, yesterday’s game was pretty enjoyable to watch and brought back many fond memories.” The “Special Ops” actor continued by describing how participating in regular exercise kept him in shape: “I’ve always had a soft spot in my heart for football because it’s so exciting and unpredictable. The body also receives excellent exercise.”

Because of how busy actors’ days may be, he said, “I find that playing football helps me unwind.” He remembered choose schoolwork over football: “I had to choose between football and education when I was very young, maybe 10 years old, and I chose education. In addition, I was given the chance to play professionally because I captained my school’s football team.” He ended by adding that all other sports should be given the same prominence as cricket: “People in my immediate vicinity always seemed more interested in cricket and cricket players. But I think we should also promote athletes who compete in different sports. They are not accorded the same respect as our cricket’s top players.”
