Kylian Mbappe has back to practice ahead of schedule ahead of Paris St-Champions Germain’s (PSG) League last-16 first-leg match against Bayern Munich.

After suffering a thigh injury earlier this month, France’s forward was anticipated to be out for three weeks.

Mbappe worked out on the eve of Tuesday’s heavyweight match, a rematch of the 2020 final, which Bayern won 1-0.

“We’re not sure whether he’ll be on the match sheet yet,” PSG manager Christophe Galtier remarked on Monday.

Galtier went on to say: “Kylian completed the entire session today. We decided that he would train with everyone today.

“We’ll determine [if he plays] tomorrow after consulting with him and the medical personnel.

“He will play if his name is on the match sheet.”

In addition, PSG’s roster includes Lionel Messi, who is currently receiving treatment for a hamstring issue.

If Messi and Mbappe do make a comeback, it would be a great boost for Paris St-Germain, who have dropped their last two home games.

The Ligue 1 leaders have never won the Winners League, and PSG understands that they must up their game to beat Bayern Munich, the six-time European champions.

“We’re ready for that confrontation. “We have the team to win tomorrow,” Brazil star Neymar stated.

“I enjoy playing huge games against big clubs. We have the option of switching to Champions League mode.”

“I don’t think Bayern are the favourites,” Galtier continued. It’s 50-50. Following tomorrow’s game, no one will be qualified.

“Bayern have been better recently, which is not the case for us for many reasons, but I have a larger squad at my disposal for tomorrow.”
