PSL 2023: Ihsanullah won player-of-the-tournament title
Ihsanullah, a young fast bowler for Multan Sultans, won the tournament player of the match title in the eighth Pakistan Super League (PSL) season.
Ihsanullah has been crowned the competition’s best player for his noteworthy achievements. He finished with the second-most 22 wickets in the tournament.
Among the tournament’s more seasoned and well-known stars, the right-arm pacer is the first up-and-coming player to be awarded best.
The last seven winners of this prize are: Mohammad Rizwan (2020, Multan Sultans), Babar Azam (2020, Karachi Kings), Shane Watson (2019, Quetta Gladiators), Luke Ronchi (2018, Islamabad United), and Ravi Bopara (2016, Karachi Kings) (2022, Multan Sultans)
Mohammad Rizwan, the captain of Multan, was chosen as the PSL 8’s top wicket-keeper and best batsman. With 550 runs at a strike rate of 142.85, a century, and four half-centuries, Rizwan finished the competition. He was responsible for 14 batters (13 catches and one stump).
Abbas Afridi, a 21-year-old player for the Sultans who finished with the most wickets (23), was named the PSL 8’s most promising player, and Kieron Pollard was named the competition’s top fielder.
The PSL 8 umpire was chosen as Alex Wharf, and the captain of the Karachi Kings, Imad Wasim, was awarded the league’s all-around player. The fearless left-hander took nine wickets at an economy rate of 7.93 while scoring 404 runs at a strike rate of above 170.
