Pacer Ihsanullah is optimistic that Pakistan will defeat India handily in the crucial match of the ICC World Cup 2023 on October 14 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium.

The 21-year-old just had surgery on his elbow, which has kept him out of cricket. His recuperation will shortly get underway.

“I want to say that play with passion, the result will be good, my prediction is that Pakistan will win the match against India one-sidedly,” Ihsanullah said.

“I am happy that Pakistan bagged a record-breaking win against Sri Lanka. They have beaten Netherlands and now we will beat India too,” he added.

Regarding the current fast bowling performance, Ihsanullah said, “Sometimes a bad day comes but it passes. Our bowlers are big match players.”

Ihsanullah is confident of making a comeback soon in cricket. “I am missing the World Cup but can’t do anything. I will come stronger and try not to play away leagues as my focus is to play for Pakistan only,” he concluded.

It should be mentioned that Ihsanullah sustained an elbow injury during a home ODI series against New Zealand in April of this year, and he has been sidelined from playing cricket internationally ever since.

The right-arm pacer needed surgery in a Lahore private hospital. In order to do surgery on Ihsanullah during the first week of September, a doctor was flown in from England.

Following the procedure, he spent four weeks in an elbow brace under the daily supervision of a physician and physical therapist.

According to PCB, his condition is good, and at the conclusion of the fifth week, the brace will be taken off. He would thereafter continue his recovery at Lahore’s National Cricket Academy (NCA).
