The new phone, dubbed the Realme GT Neo 5, wants to break the Redmi’s 210W fast charging record. The Realme GT Neo 5 is getting closer to release. The phone’s release date was teased in one of the chain’s latest social media posts. The phone is expected to be released in China on February 9th. The phone will be available globally at the MWC 2023 show.

Realme teased the gadget by displaying a new purple model of the GT Neo 5 with distinctive design aspects and sharing some critical stats. Users will see an RGB ring light close to the camera module on the phone. The black accent runs from left to right, encircling the island and the blazing LED.

Aside from the appearance of a gaming phone, the Realme GT Neo 5 has real potential in terms of specs. The battery technology, as its defining trait, deserves to be highlighted first. With a charging speed of 240 watts, the company claims that plugging in this Realme new 5G model for 30 seconds will allow you to watch an hour of video.

The incredible charging speed of 240 W comes with some thermal and life-cycle considerations. Realme claims that the battery within can withstand 1600 charging and draining cycles, which is much exceeding the current industry norm.

Realme had previously teased the GT Neo 5, which features a Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC, 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM, up to 1TB of UFS 3.1 storage, a 6.74-inch OLED 144Hz display with 1.5K resolution, a 50MP primary camera, and a 16MP selfie shooter. Its extra features will most likely include an infrared blaster.
