Discovering a video to watch on YouTube can be time-consuming, especially when your meal is getting cold. However, to simplify this process, YouTube is developing a new button that will randomize video selection for you.
A new, enigmatic button is set to emerge in the center of your YouTube feed, designed to play a random Shorts video that aligns with your recommendations. Several YouTube Android app users have already noticed this feature.
However, this isn’t the initial sighting of such a feature. In May, a Reddit user had already mentioned coming across this button, indicating that YouTube has been experimenting with it for some time. Another black button in the lower right corner of the feed will serve the same function.
As previously mentioned, these buttons aim to assist you in selecting a video when you’re having difficulty making a choice. It’s highly likely that both of these randomize buttons are undergoing testing concurrently, despite appearing at different times for various users.
Limited information is available regarding this button at this point, as YouTube has not made an official announcement. Nonetheless, it appears that the button is intended to select content based on your viewing history, subscribed channels, liked videos, and various other factors.
