Want to enjoy concerts without the fear of the deadly coronavirus and social distancing? Well, The Flaming Lips, a rock band formed in 1983 in Oklahoma City,  stunned everyone by jumping on the stage inside a “giant bubble”.

The concert itself was named as Space Bubble Concert for 2021!

According to the details, Oklahoma City had hosted the concert, not only the band members but all the attendees were encased in their own giant bubbles to be safe from the deadly coronavirus.

Lead Singer Wayne Coyne told the international news outlet that their bubble concert is safer than going to a supermarket.

On the other hand, medical professionals questioned how well the individual plastic bubbles protected band members and the crowd from the coronavirus.

Dr. Eric Cioe-Peña, director of global health at Northwell Health in New Hyde Park, N.Y. said in this regard that,

“I’d need to see how the air exchange was occurring between the outside and the inside of the bubbles to be able to say if it were safe overall or reduced risk of transmission.”
