A bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) hearing the bail petition of Maryam Nawaz, who has been in jail in Chaudhry Sugar Mills reference, BOL news reported.
According to the details, The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) submitted its reply over the bail petition of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz.
A division bench of the LHC said that the court will further proceed over the matter after reading the reply submitted by the NAB, sources told.
The bench adjourned the hearing till Tuesday, October 29.
Maryam Nawaz in her petition had requested to the high court for her release on bail referring serious illness of her father and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The bench in the initial hearing of the petition had issued notice to the NAB for its reply.
Earlier, The Lahore High Court (LHC) approved Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s bail petition on medical grounds.
Sources said that Nawaz Sharif has been put on oxygen for artificial respiration.
Medical board has suggested to put a ventilator on standby, as per the sources.
The health condition of the former premier has deteriorated since he was rushed to Services Hospital earlier this week with critically low platelet count in his blood.
Nawaz’s echo-cardiography and ECG reports were normal.
Earlier, Government allowed PML-N leader Maryam to stay with her ailing father, Nawaz Sharif, in Services hospital.
According to the details, Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the Punjab government to allow Maryam Nawaz to stay with father.
The Premier has also issued a directive to fulfill the legal requirements for Maryam’s transfer from jail to hospital.
