Interior Ministry allows former PM Nawaz Sharif to go abroad

The Interior Ministry has allowed former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to go abroad and official notification has also been issued.

Nawaz Sharif will fly to London for treatment tomorrow, medical experts say Nawaz Sharif’s return may take longer while treatment can take 6 to 7 months as Nawaz Sharif will remain under treatment at London’s Harley Street clinic for a few days. He will be admitted to Boston’s Mass General Hospital for further treatment.

An air ambulance from Qatar will arrive in Lahore tomorrow morning, Nawaz Sharif’s personal physician Dr Adnan said that the air ambulance is equipped with all the medical facilities.

Air ambulances will have oxygen cylinders, Dr. Para Medical staff, ventilators, and other medical facilities alike ICUs. Also, air ambulances will have 10 hours of flying fuel. In addition, two doctors including a pilot and Dr Adnan will be accompanied by a nurse.

Erlier, on November 16 Lahore high court orders to remove former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif ’s name from Exit control list, and allow him to travel abroad.

After the court’s decision, doctors have begun to alter medication to enable Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to travel to London on Tuesday.

The air ambulance will reach Lahore from Qatar and all arrangements have been made for the treatment of former Prime Minister at Harley Street Clinic London.

PML-N leadership also confirmed that Nawaz Sharif will travel London on Tuesday.

Mariam Aurangzeb, the PML-N’s chief, says Nawaz Sharif’s condition is critical, doctors have begun switching medicines to enable Nawaz Sharif to travel, expected to depart London on Tuesday.

Former Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif has submitted a written affidavit guaranteeing the return of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

The Lahore High Court on Saturday asked for a written affidavit from the Sharif family guaranteeing that former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will return to Pakistan after receiving treatment.

The court, after resuming the hearing following a short recess, sought the written assurances from Nawaz Sharif and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif.
