United States has welcomed Pakistan’s decision to re arrest four men acquitted in the killing of US Journalist Daniel Pearl.
The US Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for South and Central Asia Alice Wells in her tweet has expressed the hope that the perpetrators will not escape justice.
In her tweet, she wrote;
“We welcome Pakistan‘s April 3 statement and the Sindh government’s decision to continue to detain those responsible for Daniel Pearl’s kidnapping and murder and to mount a strong appeal.”
Moreover she added “The perpetrators of this horrific act of terrorism will not escape justice.”

Furthermore; It is pertinent to mention that SHC overturned the death sentence Ahmed Omer Saeed Sheikh,
And three others, found guilty of kidnapping and killing of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl.
However media reports also said a day after the acquittal, Pakistan re arrested four men and kept in detention.
