Pakistan jolted with the second earthquake in a day.

According to details, tremors were felt in parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Peshawar, Malakand, Shangla and other areas shook after second earthquake in a day hit Pakistan.

According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad, the earthquake stemmed from the Tajikistan-Afghanistan border at around (2:21 pm Pakistan time). It had a depth of 223 kilometres.

As the depth of the earthquake was greater, people in the affected area were scared came out of their houses and buildings.

No casualties, injuries or destruction has been reported yet.

Earlier today in the morning the tremors were felt in Swabi, Malakand, Shangla, Mansehra, Mardan, and other areas.

People hurried out of their houses and other buildings in a terrifying state and recited religious verses. However, no loss of life reported till filing of this report. According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre in Islamabad, a 5.7 magnitude earthquake hit Tajikistan at around 1:30 UTC (6:30 pm Pakistan time).

“The epicenter of the earthquake was in Tajikistan region and its depth was 100 kilometers inside the surface of the earth. The co-ordinates of the quake are latitude 37.7 degrees north and longitude 72.3 degrees east,”. The earth quake also jolted India, Afghanistan Turkmenistan and part of Kashmir as well.

On June 14, The Mangla lake-city of Mirpur Azad Jammu & Kashmir and the adjoining areas experienced an earthquake of mild intensity. The area shook following the catastrophe measuring 3.09 at the Richter Scale at 04.32 a.m. The epicenter of the earthquake was with 56-kilometer depth-19 kilometer away in north-west of Jhelum, the adjoining district of Punjab province.  No loss of life or property reported from any part of the Mirpur and adjoining areas following the calamity.
