ISLAMABAD: Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)’s Interim Management Committee Najam Sethi on Tuesday called on Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif here and briefed him on the upcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL) 8 and revival of departmental cricket.
Najam Sethi apprised the prime minister of the steps being taken for the revival of departmental cricket and for success of the Pakistan Super League 8th edition scheduled to be held in February.
The prime minister appreciated Najam Sethi’s efforts for the promotion of cricket in Pakistan and instructed him to keep up the dedication.
Meanwhile, PM Shehbaz Sharif urged all the political parties to show unity against anti-Pakistan elements.
“My message to all political forces is one of unity against anti-Pakistan elements. We can fight our political fights later,” the PM posted on Twitter.

The statement comes as the death toll from a blast at a mosque in Peshawar reached 93 while more than 157 are injured in the devastating incident.
A day earlier, the prime minister visited the Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) evening to inquire about the injured in the blast that took place at the mosque in Police Lines area.
