ICC rankings: Imam-ul-Haq enters top ten in ODI batsmen rankings
After winning the ODI series against Australia, skipper Babar Azam still rules...
Pakistan skipper Babar Azam said that he will try to correct the mistakes that he made and the areas where he needs to improve. He is currently spending some time with his family.
The 27-year-old also praised the Australian team for displaying exceptional performance during the historic tour.
According to The News, Babar told reporters after the one-off T20I between Australia and Pakistan at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Tuesday night, said Australia played good cricket in all three formats.
Referring to the T20I, he said that Pakistan scored fewer runs than it should have. “I made a good combination with Rizwan but we made some mistakes in the middle order,” he said.
He said that the middle order had played well in the World Cup. “Now we will try to improve the middle order,” he added.
He also said that the coaches and management of the team gave their advice and Pakistan played with their best XI. “The performance of the players fluctuates and all those who were part of the team were disappointed.”
Meanwhile, Babar has been nominated for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for the month of March.
Babar is up for the award alongside West Indies’ Kraigg Brathwaite and Australia’s Pat Cummins, according to a press statement from the ICC.
