Marcus Rashford and Kylian Mbappe are compared by Erik ten Hag

• Marcus Rashford received high praise from Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag, who also compared him to Kylian Mbappe of France.
• The 25-year-current old’s deal with United expires at the conclusion of the current season
• Rashford would be free to start negotiations with teams on January 1st, despite the fact that United has the option to extend it by another year

Last week, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) club president acknowledged the club’s interest in signing the teenager.

When talking about Rashford’s development, 10 Hag was effusive in his enthusiasm for United’s number ten.

“From the first moment, I recognised huge potential,” ten Hag said. “And now to get out the potential, I believe when Marcus’s positioning is on the back of the defending line, there is almost no better player in the world.

“There is Mbappé in this moment, a type like him. But when he [Rashford]’s getting in that position [on the back of the defensive line], he’s great and you see he’s really improved also out of possession.”

Rashford has found his form this season after scoring eight goals in all competitions for Ten Hag’s club and ending as England’s joint-top scorer at the FIFA World Cup 2022 with three goals.

The Three Lions, however, were eliminated from the FIFA World Cup in the semi-finals after falling to the reigning champions France by a score of 2-1.
