Rashid Khan excited to play T20I series against Pakistan

• Rashid Khan, is excited and confident for T20 series against Pakistan in the UAE.
• He stated that this series is important  ahead of next year’s ICC T20 World Cup.
• The aforementioned three-match T20I series will be held in late March in UAE.

Rashid Khan, Afghanistan’s newly appointed captain, is excited and confident that his team will perform well in the upcoming T20 series against Pakistan in the UAE.

Rashid Khan also stated in an exclusive interview with Cricket Pakistan that this series is important for them in order to boost their confidence ahead of next year’s ICC T20 World Cup.

“Winning or losing is a part of the game, but the main thing is that as a team, we will learn and gain confidence from this. Not only is this series important for us, but it will also boost our confidence for the next year’s ICC T20 World Cup.”

Rashid Khan, widely regarded as one of the best spin bowlers in the world, has stated his willingness to face Pakistan’s batting lineup. He did, however, praise Pakistan captain Babar Azam for his outstanding batting performance.

“As a bowler, I am ready to face Babar, but we all know he is a world-class batsman, and it will be quite difficult to ball against him in these tough conditions,” he said.

After Australia cancelled their series with Afghanistan, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) management committee, Najam Sethi, scheduled a friendly series between Pakistan and Afghanistan. The aforementioned three-match T20I series will be held in late March in the United Arab Emirates, following the conclusion of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The Afghanistan-Pakistan cricket series is expected to be a highly anticipated event, with both teams eager to demonstrate their abilities and emerge victorious. Afghanistan will be hoping to make a strong statement and build momentum ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup with Rashid Khan’s confidence and determination.
