KKK vs RR: Shah Rukh Khan hugs Jos Buttler after stunning century

Shah Rukh Khan, the Bollywood megastar and part-owner of the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), warmly embraced and praised Jos Buttler of the Rajasthan Royals (RR) following his outstanding undefeated hundred in their IPL 2024 match on Tuesday.

Images showing Khan’s heartfelt congratulation and appreciation of Buttler have become a sensation on social media. Khan was also spotted cheering for Buttler’s century from the audience.

As the match reached its climax with nine runs required in the final over bowled by Varun Chakravarthy, the Bollywood icon was seen on his knees in anticipation.

Chakravarthy, despite being hit for a six on his first ball, managed to bowl three dot balls, making a comeback for his team in a stadium filled to capacity with anxious fans.

Despite an injury, Buttler was able to secure a double run. He was seen limping back to the strike after hitting the ball to long on where Mitchell Starc was positioned, but Starc was unable to return his throw quickly enough to run out the struggling Englishman.

Iyer was unable to position all his fielders as his team had exceeded the allotted time to complete the overs, leaving them one player short.

With just one run needed off the last ball, Chakravarthy bowled it back of a length on the middle stump. Buttler successfully hit it to the leg side, securing the victory for the Royals.

It’s worth noting that this win keeps RR at the top of the table, accumulating 12 points from 7 matches, while KKR continues to pursue from second place.
