Spotify unveiled new DJ feature powered by OpenAI technology
Spotify is one of the best music streaming services in the world,...
Today, Spotify confirmed the demise of the heart icon. So don’t worry it’s all for a good reason.
Before, the heart icon was used “to mark the songs you wanted to save,” according to Spotify in a blog post, while the “add to playlist” icon was used to add tracks or episodes to your favorite playlist.
You will now have a + symbol instead. With a single tap on Plus, you can save and select the destination for any music, playlist, or podcast.
Use the + button to save a song or podcast episode. The + symbol will change to a green checkmark once your pick has been properly added to Likes or Your Episodes.
You can modify the location of the saved content by tapping the green tick. By selecting Plus, you can also add a complete album, playlist, or audiobook to your collection.
This is the latest move in Spotify’s ongoing endeavor to “create a more intuitive experience – all leading to making it easier for you to engage with the music and podcasts you love.”
The new + icon and button are rolling out today to all users on iOS and Android and will be available on other platforms “in the coming weeks.”
