Islamabad: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Justice Yahya Afridi, has said that freedom is not merely a historic day, but a reaffirmation of responsibility.

In his message on the occasion of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, Chief Justice Afridi stated that the Constitution reflects the aspirations of the people and safeguards their fundamental rights and freedoms.

He emphasized that strengthening democratic governance and protecting the rights of vulnerable segments of society remain top priorities.

He further added that no one is above the law and every citizen should feel the presence of justice in their daily lives. “Let us renew our commitment to unity, discipline, and service to the nation,” he urged.

The Chief Justice concluded by saying that building a peaceful, prosperous, and just Pakistan is a shared commitment of all citizens.
