Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has started its post-Hajj flight operation to bring Pakistani pilgrims back home from Saudi Arabia.

The airline began the return flights on May 30 and will continue the operation until June 30. According to a PIA spokesperson, flights will operate from Jeddah and Madinah to different cities across Pakistan. Thousands of pilgrims are expected to return during the month-long operation.

The second post-Hajj flight, PK732, is scheduled to arrive in Lahore from Jeddah. Meanwhile, Karachi will receive its first returning Hajj flight, PK860, at 7:25pm on May 31.

PIA plans to operate 213 flights during the post-Hajj operation. More than 53,000 Pakistani pilgrims will travel back home through these flights after completing Hajj in Saudi Arabia.

The airline said it has completed all necessary arrangements to ensure a smooth and comfortable journey for passengers. Officials aim to provide timely services throughout the operation.

The first Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight carrying 165 pilgrims arrived in Islamabad from Madinah. Flight PK-742 landed at Islamabad International Airport at 7:15pm.

Chief Operating Officer of Islamabad International Airport, Aftab Gilani, welcomed the pilgrims upon their arrival. The airport manager also presented flower garlands to the returning pilgrims.

According to the spokesperson, the PIA chief executive officer is personally monitoring the operation. He is overseeing flight schedules and coordination efforts to ensure better service for returning pilgrims.

The post-Hajj flight program is one of PIA’s largest annual operations. It plays an important role in ensuring the safe and timely return of pilgrims from the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.
