Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam and a mandatory pilgrimage for Muslims who are physically and financially able to perform it. According to Saudi authorities, a total of 1,707,310 pilgrims performed Hajj this year, representing a 2.04 percent increase compared to last year’s pilgrimage season.
