Mariyam Nafees, the actress, producer, and activist known for her cheerful personality and fearless voice, has recently stepped into a new role: motherhood. She and her husband welcomed their baby boy, Eesa, into the world, and motherhood has already inspired her to share an important message for parents.
Taking to Instagram, Mariyam spoke about the serious issue of child abuse. She shared that during a visit for her son’s vaccination, she noticed two young girls accompanied by male nannies. The sight troubled her, and she raised an important question: how can parents leave their daughters in the care of male helpers when abuse cases are on the rise?
Mariyam urged parents to be extra cautious and, if they must hire help, to choose female nannies for their children. She highlighted the alarming reality that in Pakistan, an average of 12 children are abused every day, often by male figures close to them.
Her heartfelt message serves as a reminder for parents to stay vigilant and prioritize their children’s safety above all else.
