Karachi – The brother and brother-in-law of actress and model Humaira Asghar have arrived in Karachi to claim her body, which was found months after she died in her apartment.
SSP South Manzoor Ali, while speaking to the media at his office, confirmed that legal procedures are currently underway. He stated that the family intends to take the body to Lahore for final rites and has not raised any suspicions so far.
The SSP revealed that Humaira had lost contact with everyone since October 2024. He added that her apartment was located in a building with only two flats per floor, and that residents of the neighboring flat had been living abroad and only returned in February 2025.
"This could be the reason why no one noticed any foul smell or reported anything unusual," SSP Manzoor Ali explained.
He further clarified that Humaira used to contact her family on her own, and the family did not regularly stay in touch with her.
The mysterious and heartbreaking circumstances of her death have deeply disturbed the entertainment industry and the public, sparking conversations about mental health, loneliness, and the importance of community support.
