Saim Ayub, the opening batsman for Peshawar Zalmi, received praise for his outstanding performance against Lahore Qalandars on Tuesday (today) at the Pindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi during the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight.

Saim played some stunning shots to all parts of the ground against a world-class bowling attack from the Qalandars, and he appeared to be in excellent form.

The left-hander needed just 26 balls to get to fifty, scoring seven fours and two sixes in the process.

Saim, however, was struck by Rashid Khan for 68 runs in 36 balls.

Shadab Khan, Pakistan’s top all-rounder, praised the “future superstar” on Twitter.

The PSL 8 playoffs have already been qualified for by Lahore Qalandars, who are currently leading the points standings. After seven games, the defending champions have 12 points.

Peshawar Zalmi, with six points after the same number of games, are currently in fourth place on the table. The team led by Babar Azam will have a much better chance of making the playoffs if they win today.
