The fast bowler and batsman from Pakistan, Naseem Shah, who was included in the list of celebrities who possess a golden visa, stated on Thursday that he had been granted entry to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The 20-year-old cricket player posted a photo of himself obtaining the golden visa from Dubai officials at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRF) on Instagram.

He captioned the post saying: “Great honour to receive my Golden Visa from a country that I call my second home!”

Apart from Naseem Shah, a few other cricket players from Pakistan, such as Shadab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed, have also been granted a golden visa to Dubai.

Shadab Khan, who was granted a golden visa in March of this year, posted a similar picture to his Instagram with the statement, “Outside Pakistan, the most time I have spent is in the UAE. It always feels at home. Honoured to have received the Golden Visa.”

The pacer left the pitch owing to a shoulder injury last month during Pakistan’s second game against India at the Asia Cup 2023 in the 46th over.

Shah did not experience a recurrence of any prior shoulder injuries; instead, he sustained an injury to a muscle directly beneath his bowling shoulder.

His shoulder problem was successfully treated surgically, preventing him from playing in the ICC World Cup 2023.
