The Swift GLX CVT model in Pakistan has seen its price rise for the second time in a month, now reaching Rs5.429 million. Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) raised the price by 6.3%, equivalent to Rs304,000, from its previous price of Rs5.125 million.

The primary reason for this increase, as stated by Pak Suzuki, is the high sales tax on locally assembled vehicles. This tax was raised from 18% to 25% for vehicles with an invoice price (excluding sales tax) exceeding Rs4 million on March 8. Additionally, Pak Suzuki had already increased the price by Rs85,000 on March 1 due to inflation and increased raw material costs.

This marks the second price hike for the Swift GLX CVT model within a month by Pak Suzuki Motor Company. The continuous price adjustments reflect the impact of economic factors such as inflation and government policies on the automotive industry in Pakistan.
