Pakistan’s former cricket captain Wasim Akram celebrates his 54th quarantine birthday on June 03.
Wasim Akram, the most skillful fast bowler ever has a magical ability to swing the ball both ways at express pace.
During his career, Akram won several memorable matches for Pakistan single-handedly.
In a career spanning nearly 20 years, Wasim Arkam snapped up 916 wickets from 460 internationals at an average of 23.57.
17 years after his retirement, he is still Pakistan’s highest wicket-taker in both Test and ODI cricket.
The fast bowler also achieved a milestone to make two hat-tricks in two successive games of Asian Test Championship in 1999.
He had a successful captaincy stint with county club Lancashire as under Akram, the team won the ECB Trophy and Axa League and finished second in the championship tournament despite losing only five matches in all competitions throughout the season.
However, Wasim Akram has extended thankfulness for all the warm wishes he had received on his birthday from friends and fans.
Thank you everyone for all my birthday messages, I’ve spent almost a quarter of this year in quarantine so I really don’t think it’s fair to count this birthday, so I have decided to remain 53 for one more year. It’s only fair 🤷🏽♂️ #ThankYouForTheBirthdayLove #StayHomeStaySafe

The former player also joked to remain 53 rather than turning a year old as he has spent the quarter of this year 2020 at home being quarantined.
