ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Tajikistan are set to celebrate their shared heritage and friendship with the first-ever Pak-Tajik Cultural Festival, scheduled for December 19-20, 2025, at Lok Virsa.
The festival aims to strengthen cultural ties and showcase the rich traditions, arts, and cuisine of both nations.
Organized by the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage (Lok Virsa) in collaboration with the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) and the Ministry of National Heritage and Culture, the two-day event highlights the role of cultural exchange in fostering bilateral relations.
The Ambassador of Tajikistan recently visited Lok Virsa to review preparations, underscoring the importance of joint cultural initiatives in building stronger cooperation between the countries.
During the festival, visitors can enjoy live artisan demonstrations, offering a firsthand look at traditional crafts from Pakistan and Tajikistan.
Ethnic food stalls will feature authentic delicacies, while performances of music, dance, and theater will showcase the artistic heritage of both nations.
Handicraft exhibitions will display a variety of traditional artworks and handmade products.

The festival, running daily from noon to 8 PM, promises an immersive and vibrant cultural experience for attendees of all ages, emphasizing friendship, collaboration, and the celebration of shared traditions.
