During a call with investors, Tesla‘s CEO revealed that Optimus may be ready to perform basic factory tasks by the end of 2024. The company’s subsequent goal is to potentially offer these robots to other businesses by the following year.

Musk, a 52-year-old billionaire, expressed confidence in Tesla’s ability to lead the humanoid robot market, stating, “I think Tesla is best positioned of any humanoid robot maker to be able to reach volume production with efficient inference on the robot itself.”

However, Tesla is not the only player in the humanoid robot arena. Tech giants like Microsoft and established car manufacturers such as Honda and Hyundai have also been investing in similar advancements for years.
