Jordan’s King Abdullah II visited the headquarters of Pakistan’s Global Industries & defense Solutions (GIDS), where he received a detailed briefing on the organization’s capabilities and defense products.

Field Marshal Asim Munir welcomed King Abdullah II and discussed new possibilities for expanding Pakistan–Jordan defense cooperation. The King was briefed on Pakistan’s progress in defense production.

A special display showcased Pakistan’s advancements in defense technology, including drones, spectrum warfare systems, and integrated firepower demonstrations.

King Abdullah II also visited the Tilla Field Firing Range, where he observed a joint fire and maneuver exercise conducted by the Pakistan Armed Forces. The drill featured coordinated ground, air, and multi-domain operations, highlighting modern military tactics, advanced technologies, and firepower capabilities.

The Jordanian King praised the professional excellence of Pakistan’s forces and acknowledged their global standing in the defense arena.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed the deep affection and friendship of the Pakistani people for King Abdullah II, saying the visit reflects the trust and strong bonds between the two countries.

Field Marshal Asim Munir noted that Pakistan and Jordan are committed to further strengthening their defense partnership, adding that the visit has opened a new chapter in bilateral relations.

During the visit, King Abdullah II expressed his desire to enhance Jordan’s close cooperation with Pakistan’s military and awarded Field Marshal Asim Munir the “Order of Military Merit – First Degree,” one of Jordan’s highest honors for distinguished military service.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said the visit will serve as an important milestone in Pakistan–Jordan defense relations, further reinforcing mutual trust and friendship between the two nations.
