A military helicopter crashed Tuesday inside a busy fruit and vegetable market in Dorcheh, located in Iran’s central Isfahan province, resulting in the deaths of all four individuals on board and two civilians on the ground, according to state media reports.

The aircraft, identified as part of the Iranian Army’s fleet, was on a training mission when it suddenly went down amid the bustling wholesale market. Emergency response teams rushed to the scene and managed to extinguish a fire caused by the crash. Authorities confirmed that the pilot and co-pilot, along with two market vendors, lost their lives in the incident.

At this time, officials have not provided an official explanation for the crash. This event follows the recent crash of an F-4 fighter jet near Hamedan last Thursday, where one pilot was killed.

Iran has faced a series of aviation accidents over recent years, with experts citing challenges in maintaining and upgrading aircraft due to Western sanctions that restrict access to spare parts. This has led to concerns over the safety and reliability of Iran’s aging military fleet.
