A Russian military transport plane has crashed, seven people were killed. The incident occurred in the Ivanovo region, 254 kilometers northeast of Moscow.
The plane was on a test flight when it crashed. State media quoted the Russian Defense Ministry as saying that the AN-22 aircraft was on a test flight after repairs. The plane went down in an uninhabited area.
Search crews had been deployed and an investigation opened into the accident, the defence ministry said.
Notably, Ivanovo region is located around 200 kilometres (125 miles) east of Moscow.
