Toronto police are currently investigating a shooting that occurred late Monday afternoon at a downtown restaurant on Queen Street West, marking the second such incident in less than nine days.

According to police reports, officers responded just after 4:45 p.m. to calls about gunfire near Queen Street West and Portland Street. Evidence of gunfire was found at the scene, including a shattered glass door and three visible gunshot holes in a window of the building located at 502 Queen Street West. The establishment, Miss Ivy, is an Asian fusion restaurant.

Fortunately, no injuries have been reported. Authorities have not provided a description of suspects but believe they fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle.

This recent shooting follows another daylight incident at the same location, raising concerns among residents and business owners in the area. Despite the alarming repeat, no one was hurt in either incident.

Police confirmed that several surveillance cameras in the area captured footage of the incident. Queen Street was temporarily closed between Portland and Denison Avenue during the investigation but has since reopened.

The investigation remains active. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact Toronto police or Crime Stoppers anonymously to aid in identifying those responsible.
