Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGI&P) has formally launched passport home delivery service through a private courier service to facilitate applicants across Pakistan to facilitate applicants.

The initiative was launched on the instructions of Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi as part of efforts to improve public convenience and make passport delivery more efficient.

According to an official statement, the new service will allow applicants to receive their passports at their home addresses instead of collecting them from passport offices.

The development came a few days after Naqvi announced that cashless payment systems had been activated at all passport offices across Pakistan.

In a post on his X account, the interior minister said applicants no longer need to stand in long lines or wait for hours to make payments.

He said the reform was introduced on the instructions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and added that his team has successfully implemented it.

He added that this is another step toward making public services faster, more transparent, and more convenient for citizens, adding that more progress is expected in the future, “InshaAllah.”

He also praised the passport team, saying, “Keep up the excellent work.”
